Fearless
At the moment of his greatest fear
a man loses his lifetime's burden.
Trapped by his terror, he is a man in a boy's body.
At the moment of his death, he is released.
He leads others towards the light and they follow.
He is still. His voice is calm. 'Follow me' he says.
And they do.
All whom he touches are saved. It is a simple salvation.
Released from, he can save everyone. Except himself.
But he is not an Angel. He is a Man.
Yet he lives on the other side of life.
Who can save him? His wife, his son or the girl
for whom he feels overwhelming love, like no other?
This is the moment of his death. He walks towards
beautiful light, hand in hand with a boy who is alone,
as he himself has been.
But a voice from the other side finds him as
it calls his name. He turns towards the voice,
hestitant, undecided.
Both are beautiful.
The choice is not simple. He turns towards the
light, but the voice beckons again.
Now he walks away from the light, towards the voice.
A woman cries. Joyful, he returns to this side of life.
