Duane Hanson – Sculptures from Life

Hanson is best known as a realist sculptor and his only work in the permanent collection of the National galleries of Scotland, Tourists, which dates from 1970 has become something of a popular favourite.  This international touring show brings together thirty of the artist’s sculptures cast from life between the early ‘60s and his death in 1996.

The Advent Garden

A selection of work by artists resident in the Falkirk area based on themes related to Christmas and winter such as light, peace and the bringing of gifts.  The artists include Pauline McGee, Fiona Campbell and Peter Russell.

Olav Christopher Jenssen

The first show in Britain by this internationally known Norwegian artist, emphasising Baltic’s European leanings.  Jenssen, who is a sculptor and a painter, uses vivid colours and abstract shapes to create works which leave a lasting visual impression.
